As we develop more content, we want to make content ready and available as early as possible. To that end, we are launching both micro-content and Early Access content on itch.io, you can find our page here: https://valorousgames.itch.io/

These releases have a few goals.

  • Getting new rules out to players and Game Masters as early as possible to help facilitate even more options and resources for their active games
  • Help fund the eventual full and physical release of the books
  • Put us in a position to receive early public feedback on the rules, as well as expand testing and balancing of the rules
  • Present some rules and variants in smaller, bite-sized chunks that can later be compiled into larger anthologies

Early Access and Micro-content will have a set pricing rubric based on what all is available.

  • Basic Micro-Content: This category includes most special rules found in Valor Live, as well as Patreon-requested content or single-session adventures. Cost will range between $1-$4. All content will be presented as a text-only PDF.
  • Formatted Micro-Content: This category includes any Micro-Content that has received full formatting and has artwork, considered to be stand-alone content in a finished state. Cost will range between $5-$9. All content will be presented as a fully formatted PDF.
  • Basic Early Access Core Rulebook: This category will include core rulebooks in Early Access. The books will have content and completion to a degree in which we feel confident releasing it publicly, but will still be considered Alpha content while the rest of the book is developed. Cost will be $5. All content will be presented as a text-only PDF.
  • Basic Beta Core Rulebook: This category will include core rulebooks that have all core content complete but have not been formatted or been given art. This will be considered the beta phase of a Core Rulebook, so while adjustments may still be made depending on balance testing the book is for all intents and purposes done. Cost will be $10. All content will be presented as a text-only PDF
  • Formatted Pre-Release Core Rulebook: This category will include core rulebooks that have had their initial formatting completed and are pending completion of art for finalized release and printing. Cost will be $15. All content will be presented as a formatted PDF with a front and back cover and internal art blocking.
